Artisan Live partners with MyThum Interactive to interact with millions of consumers across an estimated 6,305 digital signs across Canada.
TORONTO (PRWEB) October 12, 2006 — The number of “digital signs” on which Canadian marketers can advertise just got a whole lot bigger. With the partnership of Artisan Live, North America’s premier full-service digital sign developer and MyThum Interactive, Canada’s leading mobile media company, advertisers can now interact with consumers over retail and out of home level screens, inviting them to interact via cell phone.
“The next generation of in-store merchandising has arrived,” explained Artisan Live Marketing Manager, Kris Matheson. “With Artisan Live and MyThum, advertisers now have a sophisticated program across all digital networks to build the brand or increase sales.”
The partnership draws on Mobile Affiliate Advertising Program (MAAP), Artisan Live’s virtual marketplace for digital signage publishers and advertisers. Under the program, advertisers can run a 15-second video clip on as many as 6,305 signs, spread across 18 digital signage networks and growing, across the country under one uniform campaign.
Artisan Live and MyThum extend the power of the in-store to the out of home environment via the mobile phone. A consumer who sees an advertisers message can be asked to enter a contest, request a coupon, or receive added value content like a ringtone or extra information – all sent via text message.
“The beauty of the approach is that advertisers can absolutely measure the effectiveness of the program,” explained Matheson. “And with MAAP, that measurement translates into the actual amount of investment an advertiser makes. A commission is generated for every interaction, and that means advertisers invest based on the success of their program.”
MAAP has already generated significant interest from advertisers. A recent program for Nissan Canada helped launch the all-new Versa with a contest that brought together Artisan Live and MyThum under the program.

“MAAP serves as a marketplace for digital signage network owners and advertisers to fill signage and mobile phones with relevant, high impact content that moves the consumer,” said marketing manager Kris Matheson.
With MAAP, advertisers make content available to leading retail, out-of-home and place-based digital signage network publishers. Campaigns are measured by consumer interaction via mobile phone text messages. Network publishers receive a commission for the interaction.
“The affiliate approach is a model that’s been very successful for the likes of Google and Ask.com,” said Artisan Live’s Raji Kalra. “Everybody wins. Network publishers receive content that drives viewership and advertisers make the last three feet of their marketing plan highly actionable. MAAP facilitates the whole process with tools that are easy to access and use.”
