ATLANTA — Digital Signage Expo is now accepting nominations for the Digital Signage Expo East (DSEE) 2008 Content Awards. Awards will be given for creative content emanating from all end-use sectors in digital signage, interactive technology and out-of-home networks.

Digital Signage Expo East will debut in September 2008 as a content showcase offering a full day of seminar topics on content-related issues. The show will feature three “Super Sessions,” 16 conference workshops and a new “Lunch & Learn” program creating additional opportunities to gather information and network with industry experts.

“We have created the Content Awards because creating and managing relevant content is one of the biggest challenges faced by operators today and we want to call attention to the variety of applications and expertise available in our industry,” said Chris Gibbs, executive vice president of ExpoNation LLC, the producer of Digital Signage Expo and DSE East.

Forty-three percent of Digital Signage Expo’s attendees say that they now outsource or plan to outsource some or all of their content creation. The majority (88 percent) have already earmarked up to 50 percent of their digital signage budgets to cover content-related costs.
