In Case You Missed It

Digital Signage Content, News

This past June could go down as one of the crazier ones for the gang here at Rise Vision. We did so much work, that I thought it would be good to share with you what happened in case you missed anything.

Going Gold

The big news was that we did a full release of our digital signage platform. Every Gadget, Presentation, Item, nook, and cranny is available to users.

With the release, we continued to fine tune the platform, like more editing capabilities without more editing windows, and creating a media player for Mac computers.

Presentations and Layouts Oh My!

We began to develop and release new Presentation Background Templates, releasing 8 so far. You can find all of them here.

There were several new Presentations to talk about as well, including the Picturesque Presentation, the Find-It Presentation, and the Guide Wall Presentation. All of them are fantastic ways to display your information and engage viewers. We ended the month with one of our most ambitious (and we think best) Presentations: The Campus Concierge – a multi-page interactive layout that can give your patrons all the information they need to navigate through your venue.

There are a couple of (we believe) game changers in here as well. The Photo Album Gadget gives you three different ways to showcase photos from an online sharing site, like Flickr or Picasa.

And, the Best Practices series continues to go strong. We’re almost done, and there’s a ton of great insight on creating engaging digital signage and Presentations. You can find the list of best practices here.

Showing Off The Goods

We started a new feature, highlighting Rise Vision installations. The first one was Seacrest Village in San Diego.

The Big Picture of Digital Signage

We also talked about digital signage, like the four things you need to know to create great content, some of the trends from two years ago, and why projection mapping doesn’t work. We’ll continue to share our insight down the road, bringing up topics and talking about them.

Win an iPad for a Great Presentation

That’s right. We want to reward you for a great Presentation. We’re in the middle of our contest to see who can design the best social media Presentation. The winner will get a free iPad. You can find all the details here.

A Big Milestone

We reached 1,000 registered companies. That’s a lot, and we’re really proud of that number.

All around, it was a great month. Lots of new stuff to tinker with, some great conversation around the industry, and the chance to win a free iPad. I wonder what July will bring? Actually, I know what July will bring, and I can’t wait to share everything with you. Stay tuned!
