NEW YORK (April 20, 2009) – Traxon Technologies, an Osram joint-venture company (www.traxon-usa.com), today announced the opening of a sales office in Los Angeles and the appointment of Rina Weinberg to be senior sales manager, West Coast Region, and Ariel Meir, director of technical sales.

“Establishing a facility dedicated to serving the West Coast region from the West Coast makes a powerful statement about Traxon’s growth as well as its commitment to serve customers in the best possible way,” said Tony Carrella, Traxon USA’s president.  “Further, by assigning two proven Traxon team members, Rina and Ariel, customers in this sales region can be certain of getting Traxon-quality advice, counsel and service.”

Weinberg will focus her efforts on working with all segments of the Traxon sales channel, bringing to the West Coast a keen appreciation for the company’s product line and the design and application preferences of lighting professionals in the region.

“The West Coast sales office is an exciting development in the growth of Traxon and I am thrilled to be playing such an important role,” Weinberg said.  “I am certain that Traxon customers will be able to benefit from our geographic proximity and familiarity with the wants and needs of this region.”

Meir will serve as the chief liaison with Traxon’s R&D center to ensure that products meet the demanding requirements of the West Coast market.  His experience in designing architectural fixtures will be drawn upon in his work with lighting designers and installers.

“I look forward to providing local hands-on technical support for all Traxon clients on the West Coast,” Meir said.  “My objective will be to further enhance Traxon’s reputation for professional service and project planning and, in the process, raise client satisfaction further.”

Weinberg and Meir have been with Traxon for four and five years, respectively.  They are both members of IESNA and are active in lighting industry activities and events.

The Traxon West Coast office is located at 141 South Clark Drive, Suite 203, in West Hollywood, CA 90048.
